Yesterday, we explored the port city of Rijeka and learned from @rijeka2020 and @deltalab_rijeka about an area called “Sweet and Salt” where the river meets the sea, an industrial area with many abandoned spaces that they are now reclaiming for the local community. One of their plans is to restore access for residents to the seaside and riverside for swimming, leisure and more — through simple and cheap interventions, using mostly what is already there.
